My love in black, for you the day is dawning

My love in black, for you the day is dawning.
You're floating over lashes, like the one,
Described in one amazing Georgian poem,
You're shining like the golden southern sun.

The sparkles of your smile, like wine, keep filling
My heart of glass and I'm completely drunk.
Oh, not in vain I've read Baratashvili!
I call you “black” because your eyes are dark.

I love your glance, it brings me joy and laughter,
My heart starts beating faster in my chest,
I feel like flying, knowing now and after
I'm gonna shout out loud: “You are the best!”
